Peace, one and all…
‘And it will be said unto those who are reverent, ‘What has your Lord sent down?’ They will say, ‘Goodness” (Quran 16:26)
Life is not always easy, nor does its course always run smoothly, at least from our perspective. As I know within the context of my own life, when things don’t go our way we can feel resentful and bitter. Resentment and bitterness are poisonous, though. They prevent us from seeing all that we do have. In other words, resentment impairs gratitude, and if left unchecked, ingratitude can become a major obstacle on the path. As this beautiful and timely verse reminds us, contentment with all that life sends our way is the only antidote for resentment. Those who are truly conscious of God can see the real cause behind each new moment and circumstance. They are deeply aware that life’s ups and downs are part of our ongoing, never-ending education. They can see the destination hidden within the journey, the antidote hidden within the poison!
And praise be to God, who maketh it so!
Ask olsun! May love increase!
