Some Photos of Mevlana’s Turbe

Peace, one and all…

Here are some photographs from my recent trip to Konya.  Specifically, these photos all come from the shrine complex of Mevlana Jalaluddin Rumi (God sanctify his blessed soul).  These photos are not presented in any particular order.

  1. Assalamu alaikum Br Abdur Rahman

Thank you for sharing these nice photos. Welcome back form your trip.

  2. Salaams dearest Abdur! I just now have a few minutes to look through the internet, I’m in Barcelona right now. Thanks for sharing these wondrous photos! What a blessing to have gone there! I just got back from a Mediterranean cruise which included Istambum (which they say there used to be called ‘Islambul’). You Europeans have it made now to all be under one umbrella and not have to clear customs from each individual little country and now be all one big union! I thought just maybe I’d see whirling darviches in Istambul, but that wasn’t the case…at least in L.A. I can appreciate their whirling there. (Since my paternal grandparents were Scottish and because of the anti-American and Latin American sentiment, I just say I’m Scottish…smiles
