Qawwali Time

Peace, one and all…

amjadsabri1.jpg image-qawwali1.jpg qawwal.jpg

Al hamdu lillahi ala kulli hal.  Praise be to God, in every time and in every place, in every condition and in every state.

There are few TV programmes I really enjoy.  One of those that I do (and try not to miss if I’m at home), is QTV’s daily Qawwali show (from 6 – 7pm UK time).  Here are some qawwals that have either been featured there, or else I unearthed on You Tube!

nusratfatehalikhan.jpg

At any rate, take a moment or two to enjoy them.

Badar Miandad Qawwal: Mast Malang Fareed Di

Badar Miandad Qawwal: Ali Ali Maula Ali

Farid Ayaz Qawwal: Allah ho Allah

  1. Dear Abdulrahman,
    AOA

A few days ago QTV presented Hazrat Maulana Roomis kalam. I don’t remember the name of Qawwal. In general they were wearing turkish white dresses with red turkish caps. I have been trying to find these qawwalis in market and web but failed to do so.
If you have any idea where I can find these, please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Waqar

  2. Salaam Dear Waqar,

Welcome to my online home. I didn’t see the programme you refer to, I’m afraid, and so I don’t think I can help. Insha Allah, you will find what you are looking for.

However, if you are interested in Mevlana Rumi more generally (may God sanctify his secret), then look on my Sufi links page – it has a section dedicated to Mevlana and the Mevlevi tariqa.

It’s nice to meet you. May Allah bless you always

    Abdur Rahman

Welcome to my online home. Jazak Allah for stopping by. I would love to find out more about Qawwali – the lyrics in particular, and would appreciate any help you could offer in that regard.

    Salaams…

  5. Dear Waqar Bhai.

I really appreciate your interest in Qawwalies. It is really great. Those Qawwals performing Hazrath Maulana Rumi’s (alaihi-ar-Rahmah) kalaams on Q tv were none other than Ghous Muhammad Nasir Qawwal and party.

They had wore the robes worn by the followers of the Silsila or Tariqah of Hazrath Maulana Room (alaihi-ar-Rahmah) – Tariqah Moulviyah.
