The Moon in its Fullness
The stars rend my heart
with their lofty majesty,
but You are the moon
in its fullness.
The beauty of life
sets my heart aflame,
but You are the sun
at its rising.
The swaying of lovers
stirs my very soul,
but You have set
my heart dancing.
Wherever I turn
there You are,
beneath the last layer of me,
smiling in starlight.
