Poems from the Tea House: a Blog Carnival

May 22, 2007

Peace, one and all…

Some of the poets from Poetry Chaikhana, the excellent spiritual poetry website and forum, are going to hold a spiritual poetry blog carnival.  Although most of the poems will be from members of the Tea House community, all are welcome to join in.  The aim behind this move is to share the work of the many excellent writers there.

The deadline for the first edition is Friday 8th June (which will then be published on 9th June).  At present, Abdur Rahman’s very own Corner will be the home for this carnival (if anyone else is interested in being a host, drop me a line).  You can submit your posts here.

Ma’as salama,
Abdur Rahman

Abdur, I know you review the posts before you post them, so I am going to go ahead and write you. I’ve tried to post a few poems for you to choose the one you like the best for the chaikhana carnival, but when it comes to things out of the ordinary with computers, I am a real idiot! Can you send me your private email so I can send you maybe 3 poems, so you can choose the one you like best? (And I have a BEAUTIFUL email on mothers for your wife I would like to share). Or if you prefer, just tell me how else I can send a regular email. Thanks, and miss you at the silk path

    Salaams Barbara

Thank you for your kind thoughts, the poems and the e-mail on mothering). We look forward to receiving them soon, God willing.

I get an automatic e-mail to my private address with each comment. So, I’ll reply to you through there insha Allah.

Things will be very slow here for the next or so. My wife goes into hospital on tuesday, insha Allah.

    Please pray for us
