During my lunch break, I’ve stumbled across some excellent nasheed videos (courtesy of YouTube). They all come from the Naqshbandi Haqqani order, from a private mawlid celebration. Enjoy, and may Allah release us all from our cares for a short while, as we celebrate the life of our blessed Prophet (alaihi al-salatu wa al-salam).

The Whole of this Path
The whole of this path is good conduct,
it is said,
so let us learn such behaviour here and now,
in life’s wide school.
But before you learn
good conduct with others, my friend,
first practice it
with yourself.
Be gentle with your soul as you rise each dawn,
for that soul was made
by the Beloved’s shining hand,
and was given to you as a trust.
As much as you strive to Love others,
Love yourself.
You too, my friend,
are worthy of Love.
