Peace, one and all…
My undergraduate teaching starts again today! Is it really a year since last time? Subhan Allah! I’ve modified the course a bit this year (though I’m so glad I spent so much time on it last year). The course is entitled Islamic Traditions: Identity, Authority & Law in the Early Islamic World. In the first lecture, we’ll be attempting to locate Islam as a religious tradition.
Please make du’as for your poor brother, Abdur Rahman.
Ma’as salama,
Abdur Rahman

As salaam alaikum.
The course sounds like an interesting one — it’s important to change the course up from time to time in order to keep it fresh and modern.
Insha’Allah you will have a great term.

Salaams Bhai,
I’d like to share this insightful post on ‘Adamic Education’…..a meaningful concept for the educator and his/her students. It can also be extended to parents to help guide their children.

Salaams, one and all…
Yes, it is a strange time to begin (it’s half a year one religious studies course). I’ve been asked to teach it again next year too! This means an increased teaching workload next year. Your duas are appreciated.
Salaams, Irving bhai. Thank you for your kind thoughts.
